Public Map Platform has collaborated with Wellbeing Economy Cymru as part of their research to understand people’s views about Wales’ readiness for a transition to a wellbeing economy. As part of this, we held a series of conversations with our Community Mapping team about what it’s like to live and work/study in their community, hopes and fears for the future, and the potential to shift to a wellbeing economy. This insight has fed into Wellbeing Economy Cymru’s forthcoming research report, into two films, and as a layer on Public Map Platform.

The shorter film was shown to an audience of 600 people who gathered in Swansea this week for the inaugural Wellbeing Economy Cymru conference. In the audience were the economist and author of Doughnut Economics, Kate Raworth, and the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales, Derek Walker. The longer film, which presents a curated dialogue that builds a picture of how the wellbeing economy could positively impact the daily lives of people across Wales, can be found here.

Working towards a future that prioritises the wellbeing of people and planet.
