A new Regional Advisory Group to help with scalability and applicability of the Public Map Platform

It has always been our hope that the Public Map Platform will be useful and have applicability at various scales and contexts. We already have advisory groups at the local (Ynys Môn), Wales, and UK level. Recognising that there is increasing work undertaken at a regional level and several institutions having a regional footprint, we have established a Regional Advisory Group for North Wales.
The Group has an essential part to play in shaping the project – where and what to focus on, making connections – operationally and strategically, and advising on policy applications and its scalability.
We’re thrilled that a range of organisations, anchor organisations such as Wrexham County Borough Council, Gwynedd Council, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, Amgueddfa Cymru, Ambition North Wales, North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner, Wrexham University, organisations and partnerships such as Gwynedd and Môn Public Services Board, GwyrddNi, Arfor, and experts in language and creativity have joined the group. This helps to provide different lenses on the work and make sure that the Public Map Platform can be as useful as possible.
We hope that members will also derive value for being involved in the Advisory Group by connecting with and learning from each other and stimulating ideas and applications in their own areas of work.
The Regional Advisory Group will meet quarterly and online for the remaining duration of the project (until September 2025).
