Illustration in a playful cartoon style showing six children’s faces around a bright green map. The map includes doodle icons of a tree, bicycle, house, heart, water drop, and medical cross, representing community and wellbeing. In the background is a black silhouette of the UK Parliament with Big Ben. A hand holds a small green plant on the right, symbolising growth and natural health.

The Public Map Platform has been cited in written evidence submitted to the UK Parliament’s Education Select Committee. This recognition highlights the platform’s growing role in shaping how decision-makers understand the lived experiences of young people and the needs of local communities.

Our submission emphasises the importance of mapping evidence that begins with children and young people, grounding data in everyday realities. By placing this knowledge into the hands of those making policy, the platform helps ensure that decisions affecting education, community infrastructure, and local well-being are informed by voices too often left out.

This contribution demonstrates how a project rooted in Ynys Môn and developed with communities across Wales can influence national conversations. We’re proud to see the work of young people reflected in the parliamentary record.
