Public Map has been working with Welsh Baccalaureate students at Ysgol Uwchradd Caergybi to explore how their project work can be digitally mapped and included within the Public Map platform. The initiative was designed to support students in enhancing their project outcomes while contributing valuable local insight to inform future planning and policy development.

Through participation in the project, students were able to strengthen civic engagement, develop digital and analytical skills, and gain a greater understanding of how their work can contribute to positive local change.

Discussions are ongoing with WJEC to explore opportunities for piloting digital mapping within new Skills Challenge modules, supporting the integration of mapping as a tool for learning, evidence gathering, and community engagement.

Working towards a future that prioritises the wellbeing of people and planet.
Public Map Platform is being led by Cambridge, Cardiff and Wrexham Universities and is part of the Future Observatory - the Design Museum’s national research programme for the green transition. The project is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. This website does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifying information.
